At 7:30 am Monday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to reports of smoke and flames coming from a home in the 3700 block of Concord Ave in unincorporated Brentwood.
Upon arrival, Engine 59 reported smoke and flames coming from the home which was between Walnut Blvd. and Seller Ave. There were no other exposures to the building.
As of 8:15 am, flames were still shooting through the roof and the fire was still active.
As of 8:21 am, the fire was knocked down, they were still searching for the homeowner.
The Contra Costa County Sheriffs Department was on scene providing traffic control.
