AAA: Gas Prices Jump a Nickel Ahead of Independence Day Holiday

by ECT

AAA reported Monday that after several weeks of pump prices declining, gas prices began increasing across the country with more than 25 states seeing an increase of a nickel since last Monday.

Today’s national average is $2.71, which is a nickel more than last week, but 11 cents less than last month and 14 cents cheaper than a year ago. In California, however, the average cost of a gallon of gasoline is $3.75 which could increase more after the gas tax started today.

What happened with all that money we already paid into this for decades and decades. That money was to be used exclusively for road rehabilitation.

Thanks for nothing jimmy frazier Jul 1, 2019 - 7:30 pm

Hey Lola, the voters of this state approved this jimmy Frazier idiotic tax so I guess we’ll have to live with it. I haven’t seen many roads repaired, probably went to legislatures pockets. Thanks jimmy

Not that jimmy is great, but the DAss Cal voters didn’t repeal it. Now we will have annual gas tax increases on already taxed gas. What a move by our voters. I hope jimmy shovels some of that tax cash to East County. Our roads are pathetic.
