Concord: Firefighters Battle 25-Acre Fire on Willow Pass Road

At 3:02 pm Saturday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a vegetation fire along Highway 4 at Willow Pass Road and Evitt.

The fire, which was wind driven, quickly spread and a second alarm response was requested along with CALFIRE units.

By 5:00 pm, Contra Costa Fire reported the fire was out and limited to just 25-acres given the potential in the area to be much larger.

The cause of the fire is under investigation
