At 4:05 am Tuesday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to a report of a head-on vehicle crash at Vasco Road and Camino Diablo in Byron.
Engine 52 arrived on scene to find two vehicle crash blocking both lanes of traffic with patient suffering from major injuries and another with minor injuries. A medical helicopter was requested.
By 4:24 am, BC5 reported the medical helicopter will be landing on Vasco Road with all lanes of traffic blocked.
By 4:38 am, CALSTAR had landed on scene.
