Here is a look at the events in East Contra Costa County

8:00 am: Brentwood Farmers Market
The 2017 season will run every Saturday through November 18  located at First Street between Oak and Chestnut.


9:00 am: Pittsburg Farmers Market
Join the Pittsburg Farmers Market Saturdays from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm between May 6 through October 21 located at Railroad Ave between 5th and 6th Streets.


10:00 am: Pittsburg Seafood Festival
The Pittsburg Chamber of Commerce is excited to invite you to the 33rd annual Pittsburg Seafood & Music Festival! For more information about this year’s event, please visit our website at PittsburgSeafoodandMusicFestival.com. Festival open from 10:00am to 8:00pm on Saturday while on Sunday from 10:30am to 7:30pm.


6:30 pm: Hannah Nicole Vineyards Luau (A Hawaiian Party)
You will be greeted with a lei and traditional luau music by Imualive! Enjoy traditional Luau foods such as kalua pork, teriyaki chicken, green salad, steamed rice with pineapple & cherries, fruit salad, green salad, & pineapple upsidedown cake with a blend of Hawaiian, Polynesian and Asian influenced flavors. 7:00 pm: Campos Family Vineyards Summerfest in the Vine Series
The community is invited to join Campos Family Vineyards as they continue their Summerfest in the Vine Series on Saturday Night as they host Petty Theft, a Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers Tribute Band!

Tickets are $35 and this is an open lawn seating event. Bring a low back lawn chair and enjoy the beautiful grounds while you rock out to Petty Theft! Click here to purchase!

This is a 21+ event. Gates open at 6pm, Concert starts at 7pm. There is a $10, PER CAR, parking fee due upon arrival.

8:00 pm: El Campanil Hosts James Garner’s Tribute to Johnny Cash
For the past 10 years, Garner and his band have faithfully recreated Cash’s biggest hits with stunning accuracy in this not-to-be-missed musical event. From a special concert airing on PBS to shows at Folsom and San Quentin Prisons, it’s easy to see why this is the premier tribute to the “Man in Black.” The show is a fun, toe-tapping trip down memory lane honoring Johnny Cash’s life and music, and the boom-chicka-boom sound of his longtime backing band, the Tennessee Three.

7:00 am: Realtors Host 6th Annual Delta Harvest Run in Brentwood

BRENTWOOD — Celebrate the season’s bounty at The 6th Annual Delta Harvest Run, held on morning of Sunday, September 10, in Brentwood. This family event has a course for all running levels, featuring a Half Marathon, 10K, 5K, and 1-Mile Family Fun Run.

All four courses are flat and fast, featuring scenic views of farm and parkland. The start and finish lines, and festivities, will be headquartered at the Brentwood Community Centre/City Hall, located at 35 Oak Street.

Directed by the Delta Association of Realtors’ Community Service Foundation, proceeds from this event will support East Contra Costa County food banks/pantries, shelters, and the funding of college scholarships for local high school students.

Registered participants will receive commemorative custom T-shirt, runner goodie bag, post-race refreshments, and finisher medal. In addition, all 1-Mile Family Fun Run receive a wristband, and medals will be awarded to the top-three overall male/female finishers in each 5K, 10K and Half Marathon contests.

Race-day check in will begin at 6:00 a.m., with the Half Marathon will start at 7:00 a.m., followed by the 10K at 7:15 a.m., and the 5K at 7:30 a.m. The 1-Mile Family Fun Run will be the final start at 8:45 a.m.

Participants can download applications, and sent in with the entry(ies) fee; registration is also available online. Note – Online registration closes September 7 at 11:59 pm.

Along with the runners and walkers, the Delta Harvest Run is also looking for volunteers to assist with race day. Along with helping a wonderful event and cause, volunteers will receive a T-shirt will enjoy refreshments. Volunteers can register at this Web page.

There will an early race-packet and T-shirt pick up held on Saturday, September 9th from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., at Diamond Hill Gym, located at 1510 Neroly Road, in Oakley.

Of course, T-shirts and race packets will be available at the race site.
