Byron: 15-Year-Old Crashes on Motorcycle While Performing Jump, Airlifted to Local Hospital

At 9:38 am Saturday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a motorcycle dirt bike accident at Diablo MX Ranch in Byron.

Engine 52 arrived on scene, 50 Camino Diablo, with AMR who located a 15-year-old male patient who was injured in a crash on the track. The patient was assessed and determined to have suffered a head injury and a medical helicopter was requested.

According to Battalion Chief Jake Gonzalez, the 15-year-old crashed while making a jump on his motorcycle causing him to lose consciousness.

CALSTAR1 landed near the crash scene to transport the patient to John Muir Trauma Center under Trauma Protocol. A total of 8 firefighters responded.
