Pleasant Hill Police are searching the area of Crescent Dr. and Boyd Rd. for a man wearing a bullet proof vest. The incident began just before 10:40 pm Friday.

It’s being reported that the male suspect is wearing a black beanie and cargo pants. Multiple police agencies have responded which include Pleasant Hill, Concord, Walnut Creek and CHP.
The suspect was last seen carrying an automatic rifle in the complex at 100 Boyd Rd.
The suspect is currently believed to be in an apartment building and police have requested additional resources. As of 11:45 pm, the suspect has not been captured.

Lock down for Law Enforcement Activity in the downtown area of Pleasant Hill..
This is a message from Pleasant Hill Police Department. There is currently law enforcement activity in downtown Pleasant Hill . People in the area between Contra Costa Boulevard to Cleaveland Rd and Crescent Plaza to West Hookston are advised to lock down in the nearest place of safety. Go inside, and close and lock all windows and doors. Stay off the phone and do not call 9 1 1 unless you need to report a life-threatening emergency.
