John Cox Issues Statement on Capitol Sexual Harassment Documents

by ECT

California — Following the release of documents detailing cases sexual harassment relating to California State legislators and senior staff today, conservative businessman and gubernatorial candidate John Cox issued the following statement:

“When a similar incident arose in San Diego involving former mayor Bob Filner, a group of us stood up to say ‘no more.’ Today’s revelations are not just about Travis Allen they’re about hush money, cover-ups and a pervasive culture that has existed far too long in Sacramento. My message hasn’t changed, it’s time to clean out the barn”.

According to the Sacramento Bee:

The following four legislators were given a verbal warning:

  • Assemblyman Travis Allen
  • Assemblywoman Autumn Burke
  • Sen. Bob Hertzberg
  • then-Assemblyman Tony Mendoz
  • Hertzberg and Mendoza, who now serve in the Senate, are both currently under investigation for additional claims.

The documents, which encompassed complaints, investigative outcomes and monetary settlements, also included three former Democratic lawmakers whose cases The Sacramento Bee has previously reported: Rod Wright, Steve Fox and Raul Bocanegra.

Men and women need to learn how to interact with each other respectfully. It’s not that hard. That being said – it’s the men who really need to quit acting like jerks.

Mr. Cox you moved to California in 2011 and spent your time in DC. It is time for new ideas. The allegations against Travis Allen are nothing. All of us can check the records and see for ourselves. Travis Allen is our only option to save California. You are the past.

California being a one-party state gives them a slim to no chance of winning. Cox and Allen are both from from SoCal. If either of them happen to actually win and become the next state Governor, I just hope that they would do somthing good for NorCal and they don’t get influenced by the Hollywood Elite lining their pockets to benefit them. One awesome thing they could do to benefit NorCal would be to build reservoirs in SoCal. It would also sure be nice to have a governor that would support ICE.
