CHP: Commercial Truck Operation Nets 35 Truck Inspections

The California Highway Patrol – Contra Costa announced that on July 6, it conducted a Commercial Strike Force Operation East Contra Costa County.

They targeted the areas of Brentwood, Byron and Discovery Bay after complaints of concerned local residents of improper commercial truck routes and usage in their neighborhoods.

According to CHP, with the help of District IV Supervisor Mary Nejedly Piepho, they successfully conducted this operation with the following statistics:

• over 35 truck inspections, (5 of which were placed out of service)
• 18 commercial truck citations
• 27 commercial truck violations
