Wanted Burglary Suspect Caught on Video Arrested in Orinda

The Orinda Police Department announced Thursday that two people have been arrested after being recognized as subjects in a burglary video.

On Wednesday at about 11:30 AM, an alert Orinda resident on La Espiral reported that an unknown woman knocked on her door and asked how to get to the freeway. The subject then left in a gray colored Hyundai with other occupants in the vehicle.

Marzett ParkerOrinda Police Officers spotted the vehicle and stopped it on St. Stephens Drive. Officers recognized one of the passengers, who was wearing a Santa Claus hat, as Marzett Parker. Parker was identified as a suspect in a Dec. 1, 2015 burglary in Orinda and he is wanted on at least three outstanding warrants for burglary and robbery.

24-year-old Parker of San Francisco was placed under arrest and transported to the Orinda Police station for interview. Parker was later booked into the Martinez Detention Facility for outstanding warrants and burglary. He is being held without bail. The others were interviewed and released.

Thank God he’s been caught. Now he can finally get some new pants. They will read CDCR!!!!

If only he had spent the Holidays in Antioch – the safe haven city for criminals. He would have never been caught here.

Orinda is not criminal friendly and don’t give a rat’s a** about putting black people on a pedestal like we do in good ‘ol Antioch.
