Walnut Creek Police Arrest Stockton Women For Stealing Elderly Woman’s Wallet

The Walnut creek Police Department announced the arrest of two Stockton women in connection with stealing an elderly woman’s wallet and making fraudulent credit card charges.

Police arrested Markkisha Anthnisha Mangum and Martavia Latrice Blount, both 22-years-old and both from Stockton.

The incident occurred on September 9 at approximately 5:40 PM, an elderly female was shopping at a supermarket in the 1900 Block of Tice Valley Boulevard. The elderly female later learned that her wallet had been stolen and fraudulent credit card charges had been attempted at a nearby store.

Walnut Creek Police responded to the area but were unable to locate the suspects at the time. Video surveillance was obtained, which showed the two suspects responsible for the theft of the victim’s wallet and the subsequent fraudulent use of her credit cards at a nearby store.

On Monday, police announced that with the assistance from the Stockton Police Department, Mangum and Blount were arrested.

  • Mangum was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail for the charges of felony PC 530.5(C)(2)- Identity theft with prior conviction, misdemeanor, PC 368(d)- Financial Elder Abuse, misdemeanor PC 484(g)(b)- Credit Card Fraud, misdemeanor PC 496(a)- Possession of Stolen Property, misdemeanor PC 182(a)(1)- Conspiracy. Mangum’s bail was set at $82,500. Mangum subsequently posted bail on 9/21/2019.
  • Blount was booked the San Joaquin County Jail for the charges of misdemeanor PC 530.5- Identity theft, misdemeanor, PC 368(d)- Financial Elder Abuse, misdemeanor PC 484(g)(b)- Credit Card Fraud, misdemeanor PC 496(a)- Possession of Stolen Property and misdemeanor PC 182(a)(1)- Conspiracy. Blount’s bail was set at $22,500. Blount was also booked on an outstanding warrant for PC 211- Robbery with a bail of $25,000.

Look at the shame on they’re faces, you can clearly see the remorse. Already know the charges are crap and will be free to victimize about the county…. I’m sure they are fine upstanding citizens and members of the local chamber of commerce.

What amazes me is the Walnut Creek police did not tell the victim to file an online theft report and they will follow up in a few days. Rossmore community has clout! Find your own clout or be a perpetual victim of criminals and police.
