Walnut Creek: Contra Costa Firefighters Rescue Two Workers After Scaffolding Collapse

At 6:45 am Friday, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to the 2100 block of N. California Blvd. in Walnut Creek after a report of a window-washing-scaffolding accident.

According to Contra Costa Fire, the scaffolding collapsed leaving two workers suspended on safety ropes. Firefighters performed a vertical rope rescue and appears the two workers sustained minor injuries.

Both were reported rescued and were treated on scene, however, they were transported to the hospital for further evaluation.

The workers were rescued from the high rise building by 8:20 am.
