WalletHub: Contra Costa Communities Among Best Cities for Retirees in California

According to WalletHub, four communities in Contra Costa County were in the top 10 cities for retirees in the State of California.  This included the city of San Ramon, City of Walnut Creek, Town of Danville and the City of Oakley.

Within the top 50, the City of Martinez (22), City of Brentwood (36), and City of Pleasant Hill (44).

Here is a list of where Contra Costa communities ranked.

• No. 7 – Danville
• No. 9 – Oakley
• No. 22 – Martinez
• No. 36 – Brentwood
• No. 44 – Pleasant Hill
• No. 85 – Concord
• No. 117 – Antioch
• No. 123 – Pittsburg
• No. 217 – Richmond

The list was released on Sept. 16, 2020.

According to WalletHub, to determine the most retirement-friendly destinations in California, WalletHub compared more than 250 cities in the state across 29 key measures.
