Back in August, I brought up a race that has received little attention and I wanted to circle back so that our community college can have solid leaders on the Board. Voters in East County will be voting on the Contra Costa Community College District Board of Trustees Ward V race and I believe the best candidate for the job is De’Shawn Woolridge. I have attached below a nice flyer De’Shawn has put out with a nice note from California State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson.
“I’ve seen De’Shawn successfully take on responsibilities and effectively serve the community. As a student in my community college class several years ago, De’Shawn demonstrated even then how much he values our community college system and understands the challenges facing it. De’Shawn has a proven track record and has shown he can bring people together as a team to get things done for the students and communities,” Tom Torlakson, California State Superintendent of Public Instruction.
Ward V boundaries include:
- Bethel Island
You can find out more about De’shawn Woolridge on his campaign website which is full of wonderful information.
