MARTINEZ, CALIF.  – During the January 11, 2022, Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors Reorganization meeting, then chair, Supervisor Diane Burgis, named Village Community Resource Center as the 2021 Chair of the Board Award recipient.

Executive Director, Kirsten Rigsby and William (Bill) Harms, Vice-Chair Village Community Resource Center Board of Directors were on hand to receive the award.

“I so appreciate the Village Community Resource Center’s partnership with the County to provide access to COVID information, testing, and vaccinations to residents of East County, in addition to the other services provided on a daily basis,” said Supervisor Diane Burgis, who represents the residents of District 3. “Village Community Resource Center was also a trusted messenger during Census 2020 outreach, helping to ensure a complete count.”

Village Community Resource Center (VCRC), with offices in Brentwood and Byron, was founded in 1995 to offer kids a safe, fun place where kids could gather and quickly recognized that they could do so much more. With the help of passionate volunteers and generous, committed donors, VCRC has expanded into an East County resource for resilient families. Visit https://www.vcrcbrentwoodca.org/ to learn more.
