Updated: Vasco Road Work Scheduled

Beginning Monday, September 26, 2016, the Alameda County Public Works Agency will be repairing a sink hole in the southbound lane of Vasco Road (mile marker 3.74). The work will be done between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and is expected to be finished by Friday, September 30, 2016.

During this repair work, southbound traffic may be reduced to one lane, and speed limits will be reduced through the work zone. There will be no impacts to the northbound travel lanes. Motorists should expect delays and are encouraged to adhere to the reduced speed and use caution around personnel and equipment.

The Contra Costa County Public Works Department will perform roadwork on Vasco Road from the Alameda County line north to Camino Diablo Road on September 28 and 29, 2016.

The work will occur between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to replace roadway delineators. The purpose of the delineators and rumble strips is to increase driver awareness and safety when traveling through this commute corridor. The work may be rescheduled based on weather conditions.

Electronic message boards will alert drivers of the scheduled work. There will be traffic control through the work area and motorists can expect delays.
