Just before 1:00 pm Sunday, the Pleasant Hill Police Department reported that several subjects were caught after a carjacking that occurred in Antioch.
According to police, the vehicle was last seen on Highway 4 where Pittsburg Police followed it into the area of Pleasant Hill when a vehicle crash occurred at an off-ramp and suspects fled the scene. Several subjects were they caught in the Courtyard Shopping Center.
Pleasant Hill Police said nobody was injured and all suspects were turned over to the Antioch Police. This caused some delays in traffic on the off ramp.
On Sunday at 12:40 PM, the Antioch Police Department responded to the area of Williamson Ranch Park, located at 5000 Lone Tree Way, on the report of a carjacking. The 31-year-old victim reported he was just assaulted by four subjects in the park parking lot as he was exiting his vehicle. The subjects then stole his vehicle and fled the area.
The victim suffered minor injuries and declined any medical treatment. The vehicle was quickly entered into the Stolen Vehicle Systems as a carjacked vehicle and information about this incident was shared with surrounding law enforcement agencies.
A short time later, officers from the Pittsburg Police Department spotted the vehicle traveling westbound on Highway 4. The vehicle exited on Bailey Road and entered a nearby parking lot. Pittsburg Police Department officers attempted to contact the occupants of the vehicle and the driver of the vehicle fled from the lot.
A pursuit was initiated and entered back onto westbound Highway 4. Due to the seriousness of the crime, the pursuit was continued and assistance from other law enforcement agencies was requested.
Officers from the California Highway Patrol and deputies from the Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office assisted the Pittsburg Police Department in the pursuit as the vehicle entered southbound 242 and then southbound 680.
The driver exited southbound 680 at the Monument Boulevard/Gregory Lane offramp in Pleasant Hill. The driver failed to negotiate the exit and lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle left the roadway and struck a tree. All four responsibles fled on foot from the vehicle. Thanks to the immediate assistance and quick coordination between officers from the Pittsburg Police Department, Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office, Pleasant Hill Police Department and the California Highway Patrol, all occupants were quickly located and taken into custody without incident.
Three of the responsibles attempted to hide in nearby businesses in the adjacent Courtyard Shopping Center. The driver of the vehicle was captured with the assistance of a Contra Costa County Sheriff Office K-9 as he fled along the rear of the shopping center and refused to stop after being given several commands. He suffered only minor injuries from the apprehension.
None of the responsibles were injured during the collision. No citizens or officers were injured during this incident. The responsibles were all found to be 15 to 16 years of age.
All four responsibles were identified by the victim, who was brought to the scene. His vehicle suffered major damage as a result of the collision.
Antioch Police Department officers responded and took custody of all four responsibles. All were medically cleared as standard practice due to being involved in the vehicle collision. They were all later booked into the Contra Costa County Juvenile Detention Facility in Martinez on multiple Felony charges.

Wow, you just let your racism hang out there, don’t you? Do you have a formal set of sheets and hood to go with the everyday?
Hey there, Anon for This! I have some fabulous white sheets. Top-of-the-line. Wanna buy them?
Sven! This is just another case of ghetto sewer rats being dispersed through out our neighborhoods since 1965. Before that, they were pretty much sequestered in their own parts of town. Seems like Oakland and Antioch have become the bay area’s version of “WATTS.”
I tell you crap from Antioch are always involved in bad stuff. Love our city.
?
So grateful that they were caught and are not loose out there!
There are thousands of them just like this. . . just waiting to carjack someone else!
Stay strapped..
I realize the cops didn’t give a lot of information, but we need more details. Where did this carjacking take place? Street? What kind of vehicle did they get? Was this a random carjacking or was the victim targeted. Some areas are more prone for such mishaps like carports, parking lots, mall areas.
Amaryllis it happened in the Williamson ranch park you should read the article before you commit
Commit to what?
If anyone should be committed, it is Do.
The update was put there TODAY …….. Amaryllis’s post was from YESTERDAY! Use your brain, Do! Sheeeeesh!
Hey Do! Pay attention to the dates posted by the person’s name before you start typing crap! It seems that Amaryllis’ message is dated Nov. 24 (yesterday) when there was NO UPDATE about where the carjacking happened. The update appeared ONLY today!
Do doesn’t seem to be very observant! Maybe eye glasses are the order of the day!
Great team work by the different law enforcement agencies. Thank you!
But they be good boys.
Dintdunuffin!

They are aspiring rappers!
I wonder if they were released to parents?
Bunch of softies in the comments
It’s sad how the Antioch “Hood Rats” continually keep Antioch in a bad light with the media. I say keep these thugg ass section 8 takers in the cities they come from! They don’t appreciate quality of life! They don’t appreciate a sense of community! They love crime! Carjackings, smashngrabs, home invasions! Stay out of Antioch! The descent people of this city has had it with all you mutha fu$&as!!
According to my relatives, this problem never existed until the early 1970’s. Antioch was a vibrant, safe city.
Just 4 more ghetto rats to add to our growing low life demographics. Just another example of parents who have failed miserably.
