Benicia Police announced the arrest of three women who left a Rite Aid store on Tuesday evening.
According to police, Yolanda Woods, 24 of Antioch, Samantha Hardy, 22 of Oakland, and Shamirra Soriano, 19 of Oakley, were arrested and booked in Solano County Jail for shoplifting.
Rite Aid reported the three women left the store without paying over $600 worth of Flonase and baby formula. The employee saw them drive away in a white Honda with paper plates.
Police say acting on intuition, Officer Maniego responded to CVS pharmacy to see if the women would try to steal from that store.
Officer Maniego and DeGrange then located a similar vehicle in the parking lot where they caught the three women leaving the store with over $600 worth of stolen, over the counter medication. The stolen merchandise from Rite Aid was also recovered.
All three women were arrested and booked into Solano County Jail for shoplifting and conspiring to commit shoplifting. Hardy was also arrested for violating the terms of her probation.
Police thanked Rite Aid for providing them with information to be able to locate the vehicle and arrest the three women.

Lets hope the total value of the shop lifted items is over $950. Because everyone knows the california voters who voted for prop 49, makes this crime a misdemeanor and just a citable offense.

Probably not their first crime spree. Detectives need to review similar thefts from Bay Area stores. Add conspiracy and prosecute for the felony burglary. Hope their car got impounded as well. I’m sure they caused a big scene and threw down the race card when the good guys showed up. Good job coppers.

Thousands of crimes like this happen every day and the police only catch a few, the truth is that friends and family members of these dirt bags know that they are stealing and doing other illegal things, for them it’s a lifestyle. It’s time for good decent citizens to start letting these ‘misguided’ individuals that their behavior is unacceptable and maybe even turning them in. The only way to really stop crime is for the good citizens of this country to let these people know that we are not going to accept their conduct anymore, and to take a more proactive role in letting them know that what they do is unacceptable. See something, say something.
Violating her probation, paper plates, baby formula, etc. A drug and theft related lifestyle. The only way to stop crime is getting through to people BEFORE they go down the wrong path. After the fact just costs us taxpayers. It’s cheaper to send someone to Harvard or Yale than to house them in state prison. I’m sick of criminals.
Even if you try to catch them BEFORE they go down the wrong path, there is no guarantee that they will choose the right path. We have to figure out some other way to prevent people from thinking they can commit crimes and get away with them and even then it might be a futile exercise.

I never said they were college grads I said I’ve raised college grads one in Texas the other in miss u and 3 more that chided not to go but have great jobs families and lives but the last one I’m having a REALLY REALLY hard time with her she’s samantha jp,hardy and I can’t give up on her so give me some better suggestions than you’ve been posting cause I’m reading and checking for the best one so ease up on the negative things and help sad mommy and I have a few other names on here from when I was crying and pissed but I get guys I truly do I work at a supermarket for 25 yrs so that’s another reason why I’m really pissed at my kid I want to kick her out the family but she’s 22 she nds a few more years from me thanks love and uplift
