On August 12th, 2012, while out on the delta with her husband and 3 year old daughter Natalee, Tami Clark was in a boating accident. They were going down Franks Track and hit a rock under the water. It threw Tami and her daughter to shore. NO alcohol at all involved. She was thrown from the boat, onto the levee, with her daughter Natalee in her arms. Both mother and daughter were airlifted to the nearest trauma center. Tami took the brunt of the impact, and suffered 3 broken vertebrae in her neck, brain trauma including swelling and bleeding, a fractured pelvis, 3 broken vertebrae in her lower back and multiple broken bones in her lower extremities. Natalee escaped with a laceration above her eyebrow which required 15 stitches, bumps and bruises. In the meantime Tami has already had brain surgery, neck surgery and other surgeries to repair the damage that was done. Although her injuries were extensive and still require a lengthy recovery in the hospital and at home, Tami is as positive as ever and thankful to be alive. Unfortunately the medical bills are piling up for Tami and her family.

Tami is a hair dresser at Wild Orchids Salon in Antioch.

At this time, Tami is receiving NO income and does not have health benefits. Like most hair dressers, she will not receive disability, workman’s comp or unemployment.
