Suspect Arrested in Sunday Night Pleasant Hill Stabbing

The Pleasant Hill Police Department announced they have made an arrest in a Sunday night stabbing near Sears.

According to police, at approximately 6:15 pm, the victim who is a 24-year-old male resident from Martinez got into an altercation for unknown reasons with a 38-year-old male transient in the 900 block area of Contra Costa Boulevard.

The victim was stabbed by the other subject and transported to a local hospital for his injuries. The suspect was located approximately 1/2 a mile from the incident. The victim in this case identified the suspect as being responsible for the stabbing and other evidence was collected at the scene.

The suspect is being booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on the charges of PC 245 and PC 664/187. Any possible witnesses to this incident are asked to contact the Pleasant Hill Police Department.
