Supervisor Burgis Meets with Local Veterans Groups

by ECT
Veterans groups had their first joint meeting with Supervisor Burgis on Thursday, covering a host of priorities in what was a positive exchange of ideas.
The meeting included 22 Commanders and Vice Commanders of local veterans service organizations as well as County, State and Federal Veteran services representatives, who were invited to meet with the new Supervisor.
Supervisor Burgis discussed challenges and goals with each of the advocates and assured the group that Veterans services are a priority for her office.
Encouraged by the direct conversation with the veterans groups, Supervisor Burgis is able to better understand the scope of the challenges ahead.
The meeting was considered a success. Major focus areas were agreed upon and everyone voted to gather quarterly to check in and unify objectives.
