At 6:56 pm Sunday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle accident at Vasco Road and Camino Diablo in Byron.
Upon arrival, firefighters located two vehicles and a motorcycle involved with three patients suffering moderate injuries with three patients refusing care. With the number of patients on scene, a level Tier 1 Multiple Casualty Incident was established.
In total three patients were transported to local hospitals by ground ambulance. The incident is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
