On June 21 just before 6:00 pm the CASE (Contra Costa County Anti-Violence Support Effort) team was attempting to serve a search warrant at a residence on the 1300 block of Shell Avenue in unincorporated Martinez.
The officers were around the corner from the home when they heard a gunshot, which apparently happened in front of the residence where they were going to serve the search warrant.
The officers immediately responded to front of the home where they found a person suffering from a gunshot wound and another person who was suffering from stab wounds.
They were treated at the scene and taken to a local hospital.
The suspect in this incident remains outstanding.
