Saturday Events: Veterans Hosting Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

Here is a quick look at a couple events from Saturday February 15 along with a sneak peak at some events around the corner.

Veterans Hosting Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser

On February 15, the East County Veterans will be hosting a Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser with funds to benefit the East County Veterans Resource Center. Participants are invited to come participate and eat with local veterans.

The cost is just $5 with kids under 10 just $2.  The breakfast will include pancakes, bacon, sausage, juice, coffee and fruit.

The event will occur between 8:00 am to 11:00 am located at 1023 W. 2nd Street in Antioch.

Brentwood:  Get Covered Workshop
The Brentwood Library will be hosting a workshop on learning how to enroll in the new Covered California Healthcare System today. The event will be between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at 35 Oak St. Orientation sessions to learn more about the new health care law will be held in English at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. and in Spanish at noon and 2 p.m

Antioch Historical Society Presents World of Miniatures
In February, the Antioch Historical Society will welcome Miniaturists from throughout Northern California as we present our third month-long exhibit of miniature vignettes, room boxes and doll houses.

The Exhibit will be open on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 1 to 4 pm from February 1 through the 26, 2014 at the Antioch Historical Society, 1500 W. Fourth St., Antioch, CA. Group tours may be arranged by contacting Carole Ann Davis at (510)501-3957.

El Campanil Presents: 2 To Fly – An Acrobatic and Aerial Duo of Strength, Pizzazz, and Pure Entertainment

The Ring Brothers, Max and Jojo, have toured the world and performed with and for many celebrities & organizations.  Now they bring you an acrobatic and aerial duo of strength, pizzazz, and pure entertainment. This show is perfect for all ages, and has most recently been touring on Norwegian Cruise Lines as guest entertainers to great acclaim.  In this performance, you will be treated to acts of Aerial Acrobatics, Partner Acro, Clowning, & Dance with the Ring Brothers flair of creativity & humor.  This entertaining high-flying romp under the Big Top is perfect for all ages.

February 22
Monica Malcuit
, Signature Partners Realty, will share how rules and guidelines have changed for those with foreclosures and short-sales. The free seminar will focus on getting people back into homes and how the industry is now operating.  The event will be from 10:00 am to Noon at 70 Eagle Rock Way, Suite A in Brentwood CA. Seating is limited so be sure to RSVP in advance by calling or texting (925) 784-0214.

March 1
East County Little League has tickets available for their March 1 Crab Feed located at the Brentwood Veterans Memorial Hall. Doors open at 5pm. Crab Feed starts at 6:30. Tickets are $40 if purchased before 3/1/14 and $50 after 3/1/14

March 8
Kiwanis Administrative Social
Come out for a night of great food, and networking while raising funds for our administrative account. The fundraiser will be held at Schooner’s Grille and Brewery on March 8th. The social will be begin at 5:30 to 6pm with dinner starting at 6pm. You are not limited to what you can order as we will be ordering off the menu.
