Richmond Police Identify Suspect in Stolen WWI Era Cannon

The Richmond Police Department announced Tuesday that they are looking for a Vallejo Man who is suspected of stealing a WWI era cannon from the Richmond Veterans Memorial Hall.

Police say that on May 11, 2016, we posted a story about a stolen WWI era cannon from the Richmond Veteran’s Memorial Hall. The theft was captured on surveillance video.

Richmond-Veterans-WW1-cannonOn May 12, 2016, a gentleman who purchased the cannon called RPD after watching the news about the stolen cannon. The gentleman was completely unaware he bought a stolen cannon and cooperated with investigators. RPD detectives recovered the cannon the same day.

Based on the investigation, Richmond Police say they have compelling evidence who stole and sold the WWI era cannon. Dezi Adsuara (pictured), 44 yrs old of Vallejo has been identified as the suspect. Mr. Adsuara stands 5’7″, weighs 210 lbs, black hair, brown eyes and wears glasses. He is also known to use his alias of Roland Joseph Garcia. There is an outstanding $80,000 warrant for his arrest for the theft of the cannon.
