Reps DeSaulnier and Thompson to Host Town Hall on Protecting the Affordable Care Act

by ECT

Walnut Creek, CA – Representatives Mark DeSaulnier (CA-11) and Mike Thompson (CA-05) will host a town hall meeting on Saturday, February 18th at  10:30 a.m. in Martinez to discuss the importance of protecting the Affordable Care Act (ACA), Medicare, and Medicaid.

Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, California has witnessed the most dramatic gains in health coverage nationwide and has provided residents with many insurance options. Repealing the ACA would leave 5.8 million Californians with pre-existing conditions at risk of losing their coverage. The uncertain future of a repeal without a viable replacement has left many people worried about the future of their coverage. Representatives DeSaulnier and Thompson invite residents to join them for this town hall meeting to discuss the importance of protecting the ACA and ensuring every American is covered by quality, affordable health care.
