by ECT

On March 21, at approximately 1:27 pm, the San Ramon Police Department was dispatched to a report of a bank robbery at the US Bank, located at 2821 Crow Canyon Road.

During the subsequent investigation it was learned that the suspect entered the bank at approximately 1327 hours. The suspect contacted several bank tellers and demanded money, telling them to give him large bills.  During the robbery, the suspect was observed to be in possession of a firearm, thought to be a revolver.

The suspect was described as a white male adult, approx. 40-45 years of age. He was wearing a navy hooded sweatshirt, gray colored trousers, light colored baseball hat, and black sunglasses. A short video of the suspect is available on our Facebook page and Twitter feed.

It is believed the same suspect robbed the same location on February 6, 2017.  During this robbery the suspect entered the bank at approximately 1159 hours.

The suspect was observed to be in possession of what appeared to be the same type of revolver.  Prior to leaving the bank, the suspect directed one of the employees to accompany him out of the building.  The suspect walked with the employee for approx. 150 yards to a residential area at which point he directed her to return to the bank.

During the robbery on February 6, 2017, the suspect wore a dark colored pea coat, gray hooded sweatshirt, black beanie, dark colored trousers and dark colored cotton or wool gloves (pictured below).

Anyone having information about the robbery or the identity of the suspect is encouraged to contact the San Ramon Police Department at (925) 973-2700.
