by ECT

Police are searching for three men suspected of the home-invasion-style robbery of a home on Evelyn Court in Alamo Thursday, surprising the victim outside the residence before shepherding her inside through the garage and taking several items at gunpoint.

The trio, believed to be armed with at least two guns and wearing ski masks, reportedly hit the victim with a chair before making off with the victim’s cell phone, cash, and other items from the residence, stashing them in a pillow case.

The robbery was reported at approximately 9:25 p.m. and first responders are still making their way to the residence. Medical personnel have been summoned to attend to the victim.

The suspects are described as two black males and a white or Hispanic male in their early 20s, two of them armed and all wearing ski masks.

Information that a car stolen during an armed carjacking in San Pablo was seen in the area around the time of the robbery could not be immediately confirmed. That car was believed to be a maroon Lexus.

Random or targeted? I hope she’s okay.

If you’re planning to be outside your residence, even before you step out ALWAYS look to see if anyone is lurking about and unfamiliar cars can be seen. If you’re in your car in driveway, do not get out of it mmediately, but sit a while, watch and listen. If anything seems suspicious, hit your car alarm and make sure it is LOUD. Always be prepared to defend yourself…. there are clothes you can wear in which you can have a weapon unseen to the intruder.

In some of these areas, people have tall bushes located in places where they can obscure what is going on nearby. Trim those back! No area is safe these days… not Alamo or Danville or even the highly secured area of Blackhawk.
