Police Arrest Burglary Suspect Carrying Samurai Sword in Downtown Concord

On Tuesday, the Concord Police Department arrested a burglary suspect in downtown concord who was carrying a samurai sword when he was arrested.

Concord Police announced the arrest on social media Wednesday morning where an observant officer who took the original report recognized the suspect and made contact. He immediately placed the subject under arrest where officers located the sword in a sheath. The search of the suspect revealed the stolen property from the business.

Police did not identify the suspect or business involved, but said the building was burglarized in the nighttime hours and the suspect was captured on video. All property was returned to the business owner.
