East Contra Costa welcomed home USMC Cpl. Nicholas Schiavone Saturday afternoon in Brentwood courtesy of the Diablo Valley Flag Brigade, Warrior Watch Riders, Assemblyman Jim Frazier, Brentwood Vice Mayor Joel Bryant, the Oakley Police Department and many others.

The following information was posted on the Diablo Flag Brigade Website

My brother Nicholas is 19 years old. He has been in the marines ever since he graduated High School. Nick has always wanted to be a marine ever since he was in middle school. He loves serving his country and is so proud in doing it! Nicholas was born 2/08/94 and has a mom named Robin and a dad named Rick. He has an older sister (me) who is 24 years old who has a son named Ryan who loves his uncle Bubba more than anything. Nicks nephew says he wants to be a marine when he grows up just like his uncle Bubba! Nick is also recently married they just had their one year wedding anniversary. They both currently live down south on base at camp Pendleton. Nick just recently was deployed to Afghanistan and has finally returned home on April 30! He was deployed for eight months! The longest eight months of our lives. We are so thankful for all that he sacrificed as well as all our men and woman currently over seas sacrificing the same things as well! My brother is my hero and I want to do something very special for him to show him my appreciation as well as our cities appreciation!

– Folks, We welcomed home Nick from boot, on Oct. 6th 2012, he was on his way the other direction! Please try to come out and show your support!
