I had the opportunity yesterday to attend Assemblyman Jim Fraziers big day in Sacramento as he was sworn into the State Assembly. His guests were able to watch the Oath be taken from his office and spend a little bit of time with him before the real work begins. Many other Assembly member’s and Senators stopped by to congratulate Frazier which included Mark DeSaulnier who came in to congratulate him. It was such an honor and an fabulous experience to join him on this historic day.

Vows increased transportation safety, economic recovery as top legislative priorities
(SACRAMENTO) – Jim Frazier (D-Oakley) today was sworn in as the Assemblymember for the 11th Assembly District, which includes the communities of Fairfield, Pittsburg, Isleton, Rio Vista, Brentwood, Vacaville and Fairfield. The ceremony was held on the Assembly Floor at noon.
“I am humbled that the voters put their trust in me,” said Frazier. “I will be mindful of that trust as I make every public policy decision while I hold this office.
“While we are clearly seeing the beginnings of an economic recovery in California, it needs to faster and stronger. Given that dynamic, my top priority of the area is encouraging job creation. I will work to do this by forging solutions with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to foster programs to protect and create jobs. I will also continue my work to improve safety on our roads, highways and freeways in all of California.”
The oath of office was administered by the Honorable, Mary Lou Villar de Longoria, Judge, Los Angeles Superior Court.
