The Brentwood Police Department is investigating an overnight shooting that left one person wounded within the City of Brentwood.
Police were made aware of the shooting that occurred around 11:00 pm Saturday after a victim showed up at a local hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. Police said limited information was available on the incident.
According to Lieutenant Mark Louwerens, he explained that according to the victim, they accidentally sideswiped another vehicle but then were unwilling to pull over out of fear. The suspect fired about 5-rounds at the victim. The victim did not report the incident to the police, it was called in by a local hospital where they were taken by a family member for treatment.
No other information was made available or where on Balfour the shooting occurred.
