According to the California Highway Patrol, on August 8, CHP Officer Richman responded to a solo vehicle crash on Hwy-24 westbound, just east of the Orinda exit. Upon his arrival he saw that the solo vehicle had crashed into a tree and was catching fire.
Numerous citizens were attempting to free the trapped driver but were unsuccessful. Officer Richman acted quickly and began trying to extract the driver but the vehicle doors were jammed shut due to damage from the crash. So after Richman had to duck through the driver side window while the vehicle was engulfed in flames. He was able to pull the driver out through the window and move the driver to safety.
After rescuing the driver, the vehicle quickly became fully engulfed in flames. Officer Richman and the Driver were both treated for smoke inhalation (and the Driver sustained other non life-threatening injuries from the crash).
CHP says if not for Richman’s actions, the driver would have perished in the fire.

Great work hero!!!
The working, contributing members of society cannot thank you enough!
Back The Blue!!!!!
Another good police officer. Thank you !
So much for defunding the police.
Jg, It’s almost as if this one cop’s brave act to save one man’s life excuses the 1,000+ people they kill each year, right?
Poor Pastor Maynard, I feel bad for you because of your distrust and hate for the emergency responders. As in all of society there are bad apples like the 6000 murders annually in Chicago not by police. Those actors need to be weeded out when discovered and punished. While I personally have been wronged by police, I still support the other 99.8 percent that are awesome.
Jg, I hear ya…but you have to finish the rest of the saying: “A few bad apples spoils the whole bunch.” Yes, the East Bay might not have the same type of systemic racism within its precincts as other parts of the country, but that’s because drastic measures have been taken to correct them. Consider the Lynwood Vikings, for example, a documented white supremacist gang working within a precinct of the LAPD, to this current day. Sure, that’s just a “minority” of bad apples, but it only takes a small rotten group to spoil it all, as we see. And I agree, there are good cops, and we need them right now to step up and bring down these rotten apples.

That’s kinda funny because I broke the windows and pulled him out.
Back The Blue!!!
If people believe they are such victims in this country they are free to leave!! But they dont! They just continue to cry. Collect government assistance and shit all over everyone else.
