Here is a look at local events in Antioch, Brentwood and Pittsburg Halloween weekend.


10:00 am CHP Car Seat Inspection
Come visit the California Highway Patrol and Assemblyman Jim Frazier as they host a car seat inspection event between 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at 193 Griffith Lane in Brentwood.

Under California law, children must be restrained in a child-safety seat until age 8 or until they reach a height of 4 feet 9 inches. CHP staff and certified safety technicians will ensure your child is safely secured.


10:00 am: Black Diamond Lines Fall Model Railroad Show

The railroad model show will be from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at 425 Fulton Shipyard Road in Antioch.  Adults are $3, seniors $2, children 6-12 are $2 and children under 6 are free. For more information, visit: https://www.facebook.com/BlackDiamondLinesModelRailroadClub/


11:00 am LuLaPalooza at Brownstone Gardens

Oh My goodness are we excited to bring to you the coolest shopping experience EVER! We will have SEVERAL thousand pieces of LuLaRoe at this event with multiple LuLaRoe consultants bringing their inventory!

Skirts, dresses, tops, leggings and more! We even have some mens and kids items too!

While mom shops kids are welcome to come play in the jump house and get their face painted and have a ton of fun! We will have snacks and goodies too!

12:00 pm – Halloween Bash and Pumpkin Patch
Kids can Trick or Treat in a safe and fun environment at Small World Park in Pittsburg between 12:00 -5:00 pm. Enjoy live music, magic shows, pony rides, and a costume parade (2pm).  Special presentation by the Pittsburg Community Theatre. Children take home a free plastic jack o’lantern pail. All rides are free. (Pails limited to first 900 kids 10 & under.

Cost is $4 for adults, $2 for kids ages 10 & under or children ages 10% under free with canned good.

The park is located at 2573 Harbor Street, Pittsburg


1:00 pm: Streets of Brentwood Trunk-or-TREATing
All children in costume* are invited to trunk-or-treat at the event at the Streets of Brentwood between 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Parking . Bring a bag, basket, bucket, etc. for trick-or-treating.

*13 years or older are NOT ALLOWED to wear FULL MASKS. The Streets of Brentwood Security will enforce this rule. Non-compliance will result in eviction from the event and the property.


1:30 pm: Drama Factor Presents Hamlet (Death Scenes Vol. II)
Join the Drama Factor at the Nick Rodriguez Theatre (213 F Street, Antioch) as they perform death scenes from Hamlet by William Shakespeare.  Tickets are $10 / $8

2:00 pm: Spirited Sanctuary 2nd Annual Halloween Carnival
Join Spirited Sanctuary as they host their 2nd annual Halloween carnival at 3460 Orwood Road in Brentwood. This event is fun for all ages, especially for animal lovers! All proceeds go to help UNWANTED, NEGLECTED, ABANDONED, or ABUSED animals in our community.

Event includes: carnival games, petty zoo, pony rides, cake walk, haunted maze, face painting, food vendors, candy and prices.  General admission $7 or Wristband $15

Spirited Sanctuary is a 501c3 non-profit horse rescue and animal sanctuary, offering therapy and training programs. All proceeds go to the continued care of our animals! http://www.spiritedsanctuary.org/


2:00 pm: Trick or Treat With Antioch Police

The Antioch Police Department has announced they will host a Halloween Trick or Treat event on Saturday, October 29, 2016. This is a free event that encourages a fun and safe Halloween celebration.

The event is scheduled between 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at the Antioch Police Community Room (300 L Street) and is aimed at youths 12-and-under.

Antioch K9-Officers, Swat Team Members and other personnel will be on-site handing out goodies and hosting fun activates.

If you attend, police are asking for no inappropriate costumes be worn as well as no replica firearms or weapons (that look realistic) be brought to the event.


5:00 pm: Saturday Scream Night – Haunted House
Join the Antioch Rotary as they host a Saturday Scream night from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Dallas Ranch Middle School (1401 Mt. Hamilton Dr, Antioch) for a haunted house, dart tag, video games, bubble soccer, assorted food and drinks, assorted games, photo booth which is geared for all ages 12+.

Tickets are all activates are 50 cents each or 50 tickets for $20. Proceeds benefit the AUSD libraries.


5:00 pm: Brentwood Hometown Halloween
Join the Brentwood Chamber of Commerce as they host the 2016 Hometown Halloween event in downtown Brentwood for safe trick or treating

12:00 pm: Downtown Antioch Trick or Treating

Please Join local businesses in downtown Antioch on Sunday Oct 30th for Downtown Antioch’s Trick or Treating! Downtown Merchants will be passing out Candy to Trick-or-Treaters Noon to 4pm! They will have a Costume Parade And Contest at 3pm at Elite Dance Studio! “corner of G St & 3rd” Safe Family Fun and See All the Exciting Things Happening Downtown Antioch’s Rivertown Shopping District! The Weather will be questionable but this is a great alternative to traditional Trick-or-Treating and Mostly Indoors So don’t let the Rain Keep You Away, Come Join Us! 🙂


2:00 pm:  Peter Pan Presented By El Campanil Children’s Theatre
This superb live theatre adaptation captures all the magic and charm of everyone’s favorite story. The Darling children love to hear of Peter Pan’s adventures during his visits through the open window of the nursery. Then one night after Nana has taken his shadow and Wendy has sewn it back on, Peter Pan and Tinker Bell whisk the children off to Neverland to be part of the adventures. Wendy, John and Michael become friends with the Lost Boys and Princess Tiger Lily and Wendy becomes everyone’s mother. When the evil Captain Hook captures Wendy and the Lost Boys, Peter Pan comes to their rescue. Together with the ticking crocodile, Peter Pan puts Captain Hook in his place and returns the Darling children to their home.

Performed by the children of El Campanil Children’s Theatre.
