Nov. 2 Contra Costa Fire to Host Open House in Concord

The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District is pleased to announce our Annual Open House on Saturday, November 2, 2019.

The event will be held from 9am-1pm at 2945 Treat Blvd, Concord.

This is an opportunity for every member of the family to learn how to protect themselves from the dangers of fires and other emergencies. The open house is a family-oriented event, featuring fun activities, live-fire safety demonstrations, hands-on training opportunities and prizes for children of all ages.

There will be free coffee and donuts provided with compliments of International Association of Fire Fighters Local 1230.

The live demonstrations will include:
– “Jaws of Life” Auto Rescue Demos
– Hands-On Fire Extinguisher Training
– Rooftop Fire Fighting Technique Demos
– Rescue Rappelling Demo from the Fire Tower
– Wildland Fire Preparedness
– Doll House Fire Demo
– Dangers of Cooking Fires Demo
– Emergency Medical Helicopter Display
– And more!

There will be opportunities to meet the District’s firefighters and investigators, while also having the chance to check out the District’s fire engines, trucks, rescue boats, helicopter and other apparatus!

This is an educational event for the whole community.
