Martinez Police Investigating Wing Stop Armed Robbery, Seek Public’s Help

The Martinez Police Department are investigating a robbery that occurred on January 14 at 10:30 pm at Wing Stop on Arnold Drive.

According to Martinez Police, dispatch received a call from a citizen reporting a possible robbery in progress inside the Wing Stop restaurant, 1029 Arnold Dr. The witness observed two suspects with knives confronting the cashier.

Moments later, dispatch received a hold up alarm from the business.

Officers arrived on scene several minutes later but the suspects fled prior to arrival. It is unknown if they left on foot or in a vehicle. Employees said two suspects entered the business and walked around the counter and demanded money. Both suspects were holding knives and one brandished his knife at an employee’s face while instructing her to open the cash register. The employee complied, and the suspects fled the restaurant with an undisclosed amount of cash. Several customers were in the store, but no one was injured.

The first suspect is described as a Hispanic male approximately 20 years old wearing a black jacket, grey hoodie and blue jeans. The second suspect is a Hispanic male approximately 20 years, red jacket, black beanie and black jeans.

Witnesses are asked to call the Martinez Detective Bureau. 925-372-3440. Police are encouraging anyone who saw the suspects enter a vehicle or can identify them.
