Martinez Police Announce Arrest of Burglary Suspect at County Records Office

The Martinez Police Department announced there has been an arrest in connection with a window smash burglary at the County Records Office in the City of Martinez.

The announcement came Wednesday where police also announced they are actively investigating a series of burglaries that are recent and similar-type of cases in the downtown area to see if the person could be responsible.

Police did not release the name, age or hometown of the suspect as the investigation is still open.

They added that they will be increasing patrols in the downtown area as much as possible and if you have any information on recent vandalism you are encouraged to contact the non-emergency number.
