Just after 8:00 pm Friday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to the area of Highway 4 and Sand Creek Road for a vegetation fire.
According to preliminary reports, a male was setting multiple fires along Highway 4 by TJ Maxx.
Engine 52 arrived on scene reporting 2-3 fires. CHP was requested for traffic control on the Sand Creek offramp.
Update
Fire is out and suspect in custody after he reportedly ran into a store at the Streets of Brentwood and tried to hide.

Good! I hope someone sets HIM on fire so he really gets to experience what it feels like.

If this asshole likes fire so much, go drop him in the middle of the dixie fire up by Chico.
I was there. It was more than 2 or 3. More like 2 big circles and 3 or 4 small circles. He must have squirt lighter fluid in a circular motion and set them a blaze quickly
There should be a special enhancement for this. Another female was arrested for doing the same thing in Pittsburg.
