On February 23, 2019, about 9:55 pm, the Alameda County Sheriffs Office Tri- Valley patrol deputies responded to 1000 block Hartman Road in rural Livermore for a shooting. The suspect, called 911 to report he shot his brother.
Deputies arrived on scene and detained the suspect without incident. The victim was located on the property and pronounced dead by medical personnel. The injuries to the victim were consistent with a homicide by firearm.
ACSO Detectives and Crime Lab personnel responded to the scene and conducted interviews and collected evidence. The victim was transported to the Coroners Bureau where a medical exam is pending.
The suspect has been arrested for murder and a dispute between the two relatives is a likely factor in this case.
The Sheriffs Office will release the name of the victim and suspect at a later time pending notification of family.
