Letter: John Fink Thanks Brentwood Supporters, Asks for Your Vote

by ECT

As we approach the eve of the 2018 mid-term elections, I wanted to take a minute and reach out to the Citizens of Brentwood asking for your vote on Tuesday, November 6th.

It has been a long journey to get us here. I want to thank my committee members, family and friends… especially my wife Jennifer, for all of your help and positive outreach to the voters of Brentwood letting them know that “experience matters” when you are looking for strong leaders in your community.

Thank you to all of you who’ve already voted for me, but if you still have not voted and are trying to decide who you want to be your advocate on the City Council, here are the reasons why I am asking for your vote…

  1. Brentwood is nearing its build out of homes in approximately four years. We need to start looking NOW at ways we can continue to fund city services and maintain our quality of life without development dollars.
  2. JOBS! I have spent that last two years as your Planning Commissioner working on bringing high paying jobs to our residents through our new economic development zone we approved last week and is heading to the City Council for final approval. I am committed to make sure this project is an overwhelming success for Brentwood.
  3. Emergency Services: We need to find permanent solutions to the funding of our emergency services here in Brentwood. The can has been kicked down the road for far too long and there are now real, viable solutions I want to make happen… not pie in the sky promises of funds we will never get.
  4. Open Space: Protecting our open spaces and the promotion of our precious agricultural lands and businesses in Brentwood is a top priority of mine. As a part of my larger goal of finding new ways to fund city services, agro-tourism is a key component that will bring additional revenue to our City, help our famers thrive and protect our Western border from future development keeping Brentwood’s population at a level that still gives it that small town feel.

I have served you, the Citizens of Brentwood for over eight years as your Planning Commissioner and I want to take that next step to do even more for you all as your next City Councilperson.

I and the other Brentwood residents that have already voted for me would be grateful if you’d join us and vote for me on Tuesday.

Thank you

John Fink
Brentwood City Council Candidate
