The Lafayette Police Department continues to investigate a fatal collision that occurred on Monday at Moraga Boulevard and Moraga Road.
At about 1:31 PM, Lafayette Police Officers were called to an “auto vs. pedestrian” call. A Ford F150 pick-up truck travelling westbound on Moraga Boulevard apparently struck a person walking in the crosswalk as the driver was making a left-turn onto Moraga Road. The victim was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The driver remained at the scene.
The victim is identified as 60-year-old Sui Yuen of Lafayette.
