June 1-2: Vasco Road Work Scheduled

by ECT

The Contra Costa County Public Works Department will perform roadwork on Vasco Road from the Alameda County line north of Camino Diablo Road on June 1 and June 2.

The work will occur between the hours of 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, to replace roadway delineators. The purpose of the delineators and rumble strips is to increase driver awareness and safety when traveling through this commute corridor.

This work may be rescheduled based on weather conditions. Electronic message boards will alert drivers of the scheduled work. There will be traffic control through the work areas and drivers can expect delays.

What is the impact to the commute flow? Will lanes be blocked or closed? This is a MAJOR thoroughfare for most people in CoCo County so more details would be great.

Hope they use better delineators. The ones there are garbage and didn’t last. Also while they are out there maybe someone can pick up the trash from this past ten years.
