High Wind Watch Issued for Portions of the Bay Area

The National Weather Service issued a high wind watch for most of the San Francisco Bay Area beginning Tuesday and will go through Thursday. They are expecting winds at times to reach as high as 50-to-70-mph.

The high wind watch begins at 7:00 pm Tuesday and continues through 7:00 am Thursday in which portions of Contra Costa County are included in the watch,

They warn that strong winds may blow down limbs, trees, power lines and anticipate scattered power outages. They also say it will provide difficult driving conditions for those high profile vehicles or those pulling trailers.
