The National Weather Service said Thursday morning that they expect cold overnight temperatures Thursday night into Friday with a freeze warning issued for parts of Sonoma County and a frost advisory for Contra Costa County.

Temperatures are expected to be in the low to middle 30’s with isolated locations falling to the upper 20’s.

The frost advisory will begin at 10:00 pm Thursday into 9:00 am Friday which will impact sensitive populations, unsheltered pets and livestock. Sensitive outdoor plants may be killed if left uncovered and potential damage to exposed pipes in sub-freezing temperatures.
