Contra Costa Health Services announced Wednesday that there has now been a second flu death linked to H1N1 within the County. The County stated a 48- year-old man from Contra Costa County passed away in December. It was confirmed Tuesday. No other information will be released about this case.
H1N1 virus is the dominant flu virus this season. The available flu vaccine provides protection from up to four flu strains, including H1N1, and is the most effective way to help prevent the flu.
