At 3:34 pm Wednesday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection was dispatched to a report of a residential structure fire in the 4000 block Newport Lane in the Town of Discovery Bay.
According to initial reports, the fire was started in the backyard and was impacting the house. Residents were advised to evacuate.
Engine 59 was reporting light smoke in the area as they were clearing another call and were responding to the incident.
