Firefighters Battle 7-Acre Vegetation Fire Near Los Vaqueros Reservoir

At 4:44 pm Friday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a vegetation fire near the Vasco Caves and Los Vaqueros Reservoir off Vasco Road and Camino Diablo.

The information came from a third-party at the Diablo Water District who relayed the information. It was then relayed by the Contra Costa Sheriffs Office, the fire was approximately 5-acres. A request for aid was made to Alameda County Fire and CALFIRE.

By 5:26 pm, firefighters located  on scene reported the fire had grown to 10-acres.

Update:
As of 5:39 pm, the fire was contained to approximately 7 acres per Battalion 5.

More trash and debris with high weeds not maintained by the county ????

Maybe send the bill to CoCo Road Maintenance.
