by ECT

On October 3, 2017 at approximately 10:30 pm, a Fairfield Police Officer was handling a call related to a citizen who was scared of her ex-boyfriend because he had been harassing her.

She explained she was in fear and asked the officer to be at her home in the 1400 block of Michigan Street to ensure her safety and escort her safely into the house. The officer agreed and went to her house.

When he arrived, he found a vehicle parked in front of the citizen’s house.

The vehicle was occupied by three individuals. The individuals appeared nervous and acted suspicious when the officer spoke with them and questioned their reasoning for being at the citizen’s home.

During the officer’s investigation, a loaded Smith and Wesson handgun with an extended magazine was found in the car. The gun was made safe and all three were arrested and booked in to County Jail for various gun related charges, including being a Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm, and warrants.

Arrested were Fairfield residents Lamont Beamon, 22 years old, Willie McCoy, 20 years old, and Vallejo resident, Jonathan Wallace, 19 years old.
