Election Update #2: Contra Costa Election Results for City Council, School Districts, Special Districts

by ECT

On November 10, Contra Costa County issued its latest release of election results which include Measure X, Mayor Races, City Council, School Districts and special districts.

In the Antioch City Council District 1 race, Tamisha Walker increased her lead over Joy Motts, last week Walker had a 12-vote lead and as of Tuesday, its now a 191 vote lead.

Also in Antioch, Ellie Householder overtook Arne Simonsen for the City Clerk position. She leads Simonson by just 30 votes. Meanwhile, Lauren Posada has closed the gap on Jim Davis in the Treasurer race as she tails him by 50 votes.

No changes in Brentwood as Joel Bryant is set to take over the Mayors seat that has been held by Bob Taylor for four terms. Jovita Mendoza (District 1) and Susannah Meyer (District 3) are headed to victory in their respective races.

In Oakley, residents apparently were not happy with the direction and will have three brand new councilmembers in Aaron Meadows, Anissa Williams and George Fuller.

In Pittsburg, Juan Antonio Baneles and Jelani Killings cruised to victory in their bid for re-election.

Per the county, they estimate 10,000 ballots are still to be processed which included 5,000 vote by mail and polls, 2,500 provisional, and 2,500 conditional voter registration.

I sent in my ballot on the afternoon of November 3rd. There were many people doing that same thing. The ballots are still being counted. Nothing should be reported until ALL the ballots are counted!

I agree! I see that so far, the firebug has been voted into the Antioch city council. God help us! She will probably try to burn City Hall

I live in District 1 and I always research anyone who is running for any office which might represent me. They have to have something to recommend them. Just because they want to seek membership on any city council, does not Their background is very important. The firebug has none of these.
