ECCFPD Rescues Kittens in Brentwood

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a call of a kitten trapped in a storm drain on Cortona Way in Brentwood this morning at roughly 9:52 am.

Engine 52 responded along with Contra Costa County Animal Control. Animal  where they lifted the grate and was able to rescue the kitten. While there, the crew from Engine 52 found a litter of kittens in the bushes and helped Animal Control trap two more kittens.

Animal Control Officer Miller said they are young enough to be tamed, fixed, vaccinated and put up for adoption.
